ABOUT ISSB TECHNOLOGY
WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE(WASH)
More than 23 million people still do not have clean water. Much of Uganda is open water and swampland, but this is undrinkable. Also the, high demand and poor management lead to shortages of clean groundwater – facilities are under strain in towns and cities, and the springs and wells that rural communities rely on are mostly used up according to wateraid.org. In support of the governments' ambitious goal of reaching everyone with clean water by 2040, we have worked with different organizations, individuals by constructing rainwater harvesting tanks for residential, homes, hospitals and we have vast experience in doing this.
According to the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, 8% of Uganda`s households do not have a toilet facility,” the report states. This (8%) represents 2.7m Ugandans out of the 34.6m people in the country. We all can agree that no matter what there is no reason as to why someone would not have a toilet facility at his or her home. Although the census report gives us an improved picture, we think that the situation is still bad and we have managed to address the above through partnering with several NGOs, individuals to construct VIP-lined pt-latrines, Eco-san toilets.
Rainwater Harvesting Systems

Many children in Uganda move long distances to fetch water for domestic use and as well for use at schools where they go for learning. This exposes them to a lot of risks like rape, less concentration on studies, strangers on their way. We all can address the above through construction of safe, reliable and durable rainwater harvesting tanks. We construct both aboveground and underground water tanks of various sizes. Our aboveground tanks range from 10,000 to 30,000 liters. The volume of our underground tanks range from 40,000 to 200,000 liters.
Sustainable Sanitation Systems

In most parts of the country, some people still practice open defecation which is a bad practice that leads to the spread of diseases like cholera, dysentery. Our ventilated improved pit (VIP) latrines prevent the accumulation of flies and reduce odor by the addition of a vertical vent pipe to the latrine structure. They are affordable and efficient to build. Additionally, they offer a more pleasant atmosphere for the user compared to a conventional pit latrine. Let us all ensure that we have a VIP latrine constructed at our residential homes, community markets, schools, health centre facilities etc.
HOMES, SCHOOLS AND OTHER BUILDINGS
We understand how costly and stressful putting up infrastructures can be and we would like you to experience the construction of a structure of your choice using Interlocking stabilized Soil Bricks technology which we have been using for the past 11 years to implement infrastructures for different organizations in the education sector, health, water, and sanitation sectors. Construction costs using ISSB technology are reduced by up to 30% because 83% less mortar is needed in the layer between bricks, as ISSBs interlock both horizontally and vertically. The bricks are made on-site, hence reducing transportation costs. The interlocking nature of ISSBs cuts construction time in half, thereby realizing significant labor cost savings. Since we use locally available building materials, our customers benefit by contributing to their projects through cost-sharing. Our construction process also allows training local residents in brickmaking and construction skills.
